Question Door edge guards

Anyone know of quality stainless steel door edge guards? I put a pair on a 1975 VW Rabbit. They were shaped perfectly and were held in by several tabs that had small ss screws into the door end just inside the edge. Can't remember who made them. I don't trust plastic or "tap into place" styles. I need 'em badly-all parking lots are close quarters around here.

Hello!!

Performance Products sells stainless door edge guards for the F-150. They are perfectly molded and come in matte black or in chrome. Part number is 2064 and the cost is $27.50/pair. Web site is www.performanceproducts.com. I have the black ones on my '00 Lariat and they are great.

Door edge guards were the very first mod I installed. Only I went with black self-stick plastic. The black blends into the door seam and is nearly transparent. I got the 25' coil from PepBoys three vehicles ago and still have some left over.
[IMO]The chrome/ss guards stick out like a sore thumb, especially on darker vehicles, [/IMO].
