One other slight difference, the tires were upped from P255s to P275s. But I need to stop looking at the 2000 Lariats right now, after all I just bought my '99 Lariat and I'm only going to kill myself if I keep looking.

Has anyone added any of the new for 2000 Lariat features to a '99 or earlier Lariat? Sans the tires and wheels.

Comments on the changes from the salesman at my local dealer who is driving one now:

1. I can't fold the seats down. Now they flip up and don't give me as much room to put stuff back there.

2. The temp. and compass is so far up on the roof you have to take your eyes off the road to see them. They should be in the rear view mirror so you can glance at them easily.

My observations:

As for the 17 inchers well... still a problem to replace tires but a step in the right direction? Some may not be pleased and want 16" anyway.

The side view mirrors have a little reflective section on the outside edge suggesting a light might be inside. Sort of like the Murth turn indicator type mirrors. I asked him if they were functional turn indicators. He didn't know. Said he never noticed.

Some salesman huh?
