Post factory tonneau for styleside

is the factory tonneau for the flareside a frame type? How does this "snapless" system work? Does it have bows and if so how does that work if it doesn't have a frame? The dealer doesn't seem to know much about it Thanks..Brad
I listed the wrong body style in the subject header. I am referring to the flareside.Probably no difference though.

There are two types from Ford. The snapless and the one with nylon snaps. Both are frame type with support bows. I love em. I'm saving for the snapless one with the plastic lip. It is much easier to install in the winter than the snaps. It will be covered by your 3 year 36,000 mileage warranty or 1 year 12,000 miles- whichever gives you the GREATER benefit. Lund makes similar (if not the same) as the Ford tonneaus, but they will not be covered under Fords warranty. The snapless also has nicer support bows!!!

Thanks sycoholic. If i order the snapless from the factory on my 2000, does it then come without that plastic protectors on top of the sides on the box. In other words will it sit on the metal of the top of the box or will it sit on top of the plastic protectors? Is it the clamp type attachment i.e. no drilling?

The only one's I've seen from Ford are clamp type, andd they leave the "plastic protectors" on the truck clamping on top of them.
