Post Body Side Mouldings

I have a '99 XLT supercab flareside and want bodyside mouldings. The styleside has this but Ford does not put mouldings on the XLT flareside. Does anyone know why? Also, I plan to put mouldings on. Are there any suitable aftermarket ones or should I stick with the Ford ones?

Do a search in "OTHER BODY" for "BODY SIDE MOLDINGS" date 07/15/99. This should give you all the info you need. BTW, check my signature, been there, done that!

Funny you should ask about that. I just put those moldings on my truck last night. Took about 10 minutes and the assistance of another person to help hold the longer molding and pass judgement on level or not.

Thanks for your prompt replies...I knew I wasn't breaking any new ground with the mouldings question; I figured someone had already done it. I really appreciate to Ford stock numbers some I can order the mouldings without too much hassle at the parts counter. BTW, as a new Ford owner, this site is great.

I just ordered the bodyside mouldings and they should be here next week...about $121 dolars, just like you guys said. The stock numbers were right on and the parts guy knew exactly what I was talking about when I gave him the numbers. Newxt, wheel opening mouldings. These are a little nore expensive $89 each front and $119 each rear! (If I remember correctly). It will be over $400 to do the wheel openings!
Thanks again, Marv

Question

Marv1,
I see you have the Nascar Pendaliner. How do you like it? Did you see it beside the regular pendaliner to compare the difference? Do things still slide around or have they really improved the surface over the last few years. I had a Pendaliner about 4 years ago and really hated how you had to tie down practically everything or it would slide all over the bed on the slightest turn.

DA:
I kinda messed-up on my signature...the Nascar liner and Snugtop are due any day now ($955 installed for both). The Nascar liner cost $249, about $60 bucks more than the regular Penda. I saw it on side-by-side display and went with it cause of the additional thickness. The bed surface is supposed to keep things from sliding around but I have my doubts. Those items are due in any day so I'll let you know. Actually, I really wanted to go with a spray-on liner but they cost $400-$500 here in Central California.

Thumbs up

The bodyside mouldings are now on and look great...now for the wheel opening mouldings (have to float a loan for those!!!).
Thanks to Freezer and rmarietta for the advice and stock numbers. Installation is easy, just go slow (I used masking tape to tack in place before installing for real.)
