Post Nerf Bars

I want to replace my Ford factory steps with nerf bars that bolt to the frame, and to give more ground clearance. Any suggestions?

Conqsoft,
I have the westin nerfs. They mount to the body but are very sturdy. I installed mine last Friday ( easy- one person job).

conqsoft,

If you're looking to really hang the bars on major off-road rocks, go with the frame mount. But if you just want more ground clearance the Westins mount within a finger thickness of the body. And they are 3" tubes. The only way I can think of getting more ground clearance, would be to mount them to you doors!

Thumbs up

Mine mount to the body and they also have metal tie-straps that are bolted to the frame. Very strudy. I found them at www.dawsbetterbuilt.com At the site you have to call a 1-800# to find the closest dealer. Mine was Wallmart and at half the price from what the site listed it for.
