Are there two different colors for the newer style (bar) Lightning grilles?? I have seen on eBay black Lightning grilles, but the lower grille that I had installed on my truck after my accident is a dark grey - it is from a 2001 Lightning. Did they change to black one year??

I have been trying to find an upper grille to match my lower one, but have been unable to find a grey one. Looks like I might have to buy a black one and paint the lower one to match.

 

if its black its because its unpainted... i have a brand new 01-04 upper svt L grill on my truck and its black.. like a gloss black.. the 01-04 grills are supposed to be painted graphite.. but i had a guy tell me that I managed to get my grill before it got painted.. and my grill wasnt a take off from a lightning either.. now my lower L 01-04 grill for the bumper cover was a take off from an L and its graphite....

 

DjThomas - thanks for the repsonse. However, since posting this question I have decided to install black billet grilles in the upper and lower areas.

I am a little confused though, because the dealer installed a 2001 Lightning lower grille and it was graphite, but I know they did not paint it before installing it.

Oh well, guess it doesn't matter now - can't wait to get the black billets!!
