best headlight bulbs???

I need some new headlight bulbs and I am looking for something that is brighter and more powerful than the stock bulbs. Any suggestions on what bulbs I should go with and also what size are the stock bulbs, as in if I am looking for the bulbs on a website, what size would they be listed as in a catalog?? Thanks.

Sylvania Silverstars.

To date, I've yet to read about a SINGLE person who put them in and didn't think that they weren't a HUGE improvement over stock.

Having had both, it's tough to beat for $40!

Yo must not have searched very hard because besides me there are at least 3 others posting negative about Silverstars.
I think they are overpriced for what you are getting. I was not impressed with them at all.
I find Eurolite Fusion bulbs for half the price to be brighter with a whiter, less yellow than the silverstars, light.

You also have to take the vast majority into account though Fritz. With ANYTHING that is mass produced and mass sold, there will be a few folks that regect the norm and say that they're not worth it and that they're overpriced.

I, personally, had never seen your posts and thus, I made the comment that I made. Please excuse me from not bringing your opinion to the table prior to my post. I only surf through about a thousand posts per day on here and, on occasion, they get a bit jumbled in my head.

I can, with great certainty, say that around 99% of the posts on this site are positive with regards to Silverstars.

We all have our opinions and that's what makes this a great site and a great country eh?

30,000+ dollar truck, with 12,000+ in mods....i think i can spend 30 bucks on a set of silverstars....oh wait they were so good i went with the full out sylvania HID kit for 450, and went with the 30 dollar silverstar bulbs in my fogs

if you aren't a cheapo with your truck, silverstars can't be beat!

headlight bulbs

the headlights on a 2002 F150 are bright enough, you don't need brighter bulbs, and I don't understand why you wanta change perfectly good bulbs anyhow. My truck is a 2003 and my headlights are the same as ur 2002, and when im driving around in the dark, everybody is flashing their high beams on to me, thinking im driving around with my high beams on, then when im behind a car, my low beams shine thru their back window, and it know some people get mad, thinking i have my high beams on. Save ur money, you don't need brighter headlight bulbs, the ones you have now are bright enough.

unless you prefer a whiter light compared to a yellow one.

MotoF150, if everybody is flashing their highs at you, maybe your lights are misaligned.

for 20-30 bucks, a set of silverstars is well worth the money. the more light on the road at night the better.

i have sylvania Xenarc HID's on my HD now, even BRIGHTER and throws way more light than the silverstars did, and i dont have people flashing their lights at me all the time, even with the increased light intensity

I'm happy with my Silverstars. Here's a pic of the Silverstar vs. the OEM Ford light on the low beam setting.

Question about the Xenarcs.... The Sylvania web site states, "The X2010 Ford F-Series Upgrade Kit is designed for installation on 1998 - 2002* Ford F-150 and Expedition models. "

What about 2003 and newer?
