Question engine covers

are there any replacement engine covers for that plastic chunk on top? it doesnt look bad but i figured someone makes one that looks better. i thought about painting the lettering but it seemed like a little too much hassle.

Haven't seen one yet. I painted the raised lettering on mine silver, but have seen others here who have two-toned the oval. A billet or wrinkle finish underhood dress-up kit would be nice.

I've seen some painted that look real nice. With all the new types of primers out there, do it yourself should be easy... gonna do mine once the white stuff goes away.

I just washed mine to make it clean. Since my factory color isn't at any of the marts I can't just paint it the color of my truck. I selected a green and just sprayed. Then I took some paint pens and colored over the ford logo and what not.

It looks better than the picture shows...

www.billetandacrylic.com does some billet stuff if that's what you're interested in. They may be able to fulfill some special requests. I'd give it a show. Or any paint shop could do that for you
