Looks like you have more work cut out for you than finding a way to patch the hole... LOL personally? i dont think there would be any really nice way to patch up the gap... not on that part of the truck anyways... i think the diamond plate he is talking about was used for the "frame to body" gap, and not the bumper... if he used it for his bumper? oh wow.... i gotta see that LOL the aftermarket air dams that go below the bumper, actually bolt on to your existing air dam... (or some do anyways) i have seen it done... look at this pic, its not the BEST airdam, or the thickest... or even the best job at installing/painting it lol but you get the idea.....

Definitely
Maybe we all need a pic to help visualize.

I meant frame to body, just above the lowered bumper(assuming the bumper is lower because of the body lift)

Lemme shed some light. . .

But if you hate all cops in general for what we do for a living then I don't care, I didn't become a cop because I needed more friends.
If it were me, I'd fabricate something out of sheet aluminum. Now to exit the topic:

I think the intent when saying "a$$hole cops" was to single out the cops who are a$$holes. There are plenty of them. There are also plenty of a$$hole waiters, contractors, lawyers, salesmen, gardeners, bartenders, etc. There may be a shortage of some things in this world, but a-holes AIN'T one of them! Thank you.

P.S. Not many of us joined ANY force because we needed more friends. Quite frankly, I wish I had less sometimes.
P.P.S. A personal thanks to all the blue boys out there for doin' what they do.

It must have been state police that pulled you! They are more **** about that stuff than most city cops. O and the commonwealth we live in has a bunch of stupid laws regarding vehicles, but most are not inforced. Which city you live in?

You should be able to get bumper relocation brackets to fix that problem, itll bring your bumper up 3in and you will be fine.

If your having legal problems with the distance from the ground to the bottom of your front and rear bumpers you could get truck tags, they allow you to have a higher bumper, im not sure the exact height, i would have to look in my va code book and get back to you.

And thanks snappylips (we dont get enough appreciation)

he has already put the stock brackets back on.............. the problem in this thread is figuring out how to seal up a 3" gap between his grille and the top of his bumper......
