Can anybody tell me why Lund makes a Racerback for a 97-03 Extended Cab Flareside, but not a Regular Cab Flareside? I really wanted to get one of these for my truck. Lund doesn't make it though. So my question to you is:

Can I modify the one for the Extended Cab Flareside to fit a Regular Cab? I'm very good at frabricating so if it can be done, then I believe I can do it. I have just never seen one installed up close and am not sure how it connects to the vehicle. I just don't want to order one and find out there is no way of making this work.

you might try contacting lund to find out. I did a search and found their web site and emailed them today about aplications for my flareside. of coarse mine is a 04. don't think they are making one for my truck yet. hopefully soon.

 

Yeah, I emailed them yesterday and I am hoping for good news. I don't expect any though. I'm sure that they will be coming out with one soon for your truck. Mine, well, I'm sure they would have already if they were going to. It's just wierd that mine is the only model 97-03 F-150 they don't make it for.
