harley pinstripe

I posted this thread in the harley section with no results. I was the last person to even write a thread in that forum, and that was 2 days ago. So I guess I will try it here, too.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could get a harley pinstripe. I am looking for the one on the older harley f150's that was orange or red and turned into a flame when it got to the back of the side of the truck. If you know where I could get one, would you please tell me if you can get it in a color other than orange or red. I would like to have a pinstripe like this in silver metallic to go on my red 97 f150 4x4 or a dark blue metallic to go on a (don't hate on me for this) white 04 dodge quad cab hemi. Take a look at the pinstripe on this HD. This is the one I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

your link doesn't work....I'd suggest creating your own gallery here and adding the picture then reposting the image.

Since I can't see the picture, are you talking about the stripe that is gold on the outside, with 4-5 dark lines running on an off white background?

I tried getting something like that when I repainted my fender flares and redid the stock pinstripe...couldn't find anybody to recreate it, and I think it's insanely expensive from ford...my solution? I use a two tone pinstripe....black and gold, and laid it down twice.... once right-side-up, and then flipping it vertically. once it was down, I removed the overlapping black, so I had gold, black, gold...it turned out way better than I thought it would, and people really like it...check it out:

good luck

ahh I see, the flames you mean....I think I remember some folks putting these or some similar to it on their trucks. These are also very expensive to buy from a dealer.

I believe there are some close copies for sale on eBay.

give this guy a hollar, http://www.waterfowldecals.com/ tell him you got his site from me at F150online.com and tell him your ideas, he might be able to help you out in getting some.

good luck
