I was wondering.. will the ford lightning Black billet style grill work on the 1997 F150? do i gotta replace alot of stuff.. where can i get this part. Also.. what about intakes? I got the 4.2L V6

 

The ford lightning has a different frotn end then the 97-98's do.. the ford lightning is 99-04 and it has the same front end (besides all the prettier headlights,corners , bumper) and all that stuff.. u'd need to convert to the 99-03 (04 heritage) in order to use the factory ford svt lightning grille .. the 99-03 front ends have a dip in the bumper and the grill surround.. Its kinda hard to explain u just have to look at a 97-98 compared to a 99-03 and u will see what im talking about.

One of my neighbors always has 99-03 front end parts in his yard for sale, if you looking to do the conversion cheaply? Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested? Mostly chrome and grey parts, but he might get a painted surround, you never know.,,,,98

 

The Lightning grille's from 99-00 are different than the 01-04 Lightnings, and so are the bumpers. They use different foglights, etc. The difference is subtle, but there is a difference between 99-00 and 01-04 Lightnings, so keep this in mind if you're doing any conversion from another F150.
