Since it appears the Harley forum is dead, I figured I would repost in this forum (please see below):


Guys - since my sister borrowed the truck and decided to play "Dodge Deer" with it, I have been thinking of replacing my damaged L front bumper with an '03 Harley bumper. What I need to know:

1) is the '03 front end a bumper cover or is it a bumper and lower valance??

2) If it is a bumper and valance, can a buy a Ford factory painted bumper and add the valance to it??

3) Does anyone make an aftermarket bumper cover or valance that looks like the '03?? I have seen aftermarket ones that resemble the earlier Harleys, but not the newer one.

I do believe it is a seperate lower valance, i see them on Ebay all the time, attached to a painted bumper.

should be able to get the bumper, not sure if it will come painted black.

which look are you going for, i think the 03 valances look similar to my PIAA valance?

 

The '03 is different than the earlier models - more squared off around the fog lights. All the ones on eBay right now resemble the '02 and earlier models.

 

Can someone show me the difference between the 03 valance and the earlier ones? I guess I haven't seen an 03 yet!!
