grill guard question

i just bought my first truck, but had to settle for a 2 wheel drive f150 supercab, is it lame to put a brush guard on it and step bars, the step bars would serve a puropse for short people, but i just like the looks of grill guards, maybe a black one, a 2 wheel drive lowered insurance for me and all im doing his haulin bikes

any input

should look good, don't worry about it. just don't go and get cheap on the brush guards.

i don't know the manufacter of the ones i have on my expedition b/c i got them when i was in florida and i know live in ohio. just get some that seem very strong. i have the kind that have the small bars that run across the lights which i think looks a ton better than the ones that don't have them. just go to your local truck or car appearance store or just order them offline. check out my gallery and you'll see how good they look on my expe.

In Texas, it's almost punishable by death not to have a brushguard on your truck Many 2-wheel drive vehicles have them as well. If you want one, put it on. It's your truck.

I have a GoRhino guard (3363MC), but I think you'll find Maniks are most popular around here. Go to any search engine and type "brushguard" and you'll find half a dozen sites that sell them. Good luck -

Mike

Go with GoRhino. They are some of the strongest ones Ive seen.
Look at the Sumatra 3000 and 7000. Its a pretty sweet lookin gaurd.

We have a Mr. Pickup one on our work truck, and that thing is VERY strong. Its been through about hell and back.

Stay away from Westin too. They are cheap and cant hold up to too much abuse.

Sumtra Here is a link to some Sumtra 3000 and 7000's. They are at the very top.
