Question Install Lightning Bumper Cover Help

Well I have the Lightning Bumper cover (not an aftermarket one, but factory) I need to know exactly what brackets/parts i need to install it (on a 2003 f150) If you have part numbers please list them. This goes for the fog lamp assembly aswell.. My bumper just has 2 big holes for the fogs. Please help me! Thanks! (i think the bumper is a 2001)

just go to your local ford dealership and they can look the number up for you. i went yesterday and it took them 2 seconds to find them. they were about $250 tho which really blows, and come w/ the lights.

thanks :-) ive got everything exept for the foglights and brackets but ill get all that through a online friend at ford. oh but also.. on my 03 f150 theres fog light wire harness already behind my bumper just kinda hanging there. anyone know what kind of lights these fit? i read somewhere it was 9145 (bulb number) and people said that the 9005ST (Silverstars) would fit them but the connection is a little small to be a 9005.. anyone ever used these fog lamp wires that were already there from ford?

The brackets are like $80 dollars. Call Gary at Fordpartsonline.com. There are not brackets for the fog lights. The snap right into the cover. The brackets attach to your factory bumper to hold the cover. Hope this helps. Don't blow $250 on brackets.

Great Thanks! also .. the foglamp wires we have behind our bumpers attached to the radiator support . do those hook up to the fogs or does it need a diff wire harness or anything? cuz i checked to see if the 9005 bulbs fit and they dont.. (i read somehwere that the actual light is supposed to be 9145 but people use 9005 silverstars)

The actual bulbs are 9005's. You see there are two ford lightning bumper covers. The ones before 2002 don't have the clear fog lights. The ones after 2002 do have clear fog lights. If you get a bumper made before 2002 it will be a different bulb other than the 9005. You can get the 9005 pig tails and then use a universal harness to wire up the fog lights for cheap. That is what I did. Let me know if you need anymore help. I did the swap about 2 years ago. Unless your truck came with fog lights already you will have to put a harness in yourself. If you got the fog lights already. You can buy the pig tails and splice the factory pig tails for the fog lights so it will work. It is really simple to do.

Bumping up old thread.

I bought Roush bumper cover from eBay. Somebody suggested that Lightning brackets might be used with this as well.

Does anybody have a picture of lightning cover backside? I'd like to know how does it look and compare to my Roush cover to figure out if Lightning hardware can be used.
