Painting Urethane bumper help

I was talking to a guy at the pavillions carshow and he said painting a urethane bumper myself would be a pain in the *** and he can do it but wouldnt want to cuz it sucks, so does anyone know how much painting a SS gen3 urethane bumper would be? Also he said he can shave my tailgate and door handles for 100 bucks a door with the kit and labor, is that a good price And how about bagging my truck for 1500 with all the parts and labor? is he giving me good deals?

Painting a urethane piece is kind of a pain because it has to be prepped - the pieces come out of the mold kind of "unfinished" and they have to be cleaned and sanded before they can be painted, but you can certainly do it. My suggestion is to get two or three quotes from painters before you do anything. We had one painter try to charge us $10,000 for simply clear-coating a truck and painting a few pieces!! $1,500 does not seem unreasonable, but shop around!
