I put a carriage works billet on my 04 FX4 and this has to be the easiest Billet i've ever instaled. And i've put a few of these things on over the years. Got it and the lower grill for less than $250 and had it on in a hour without a scratch.

You can get some really good deals on Ebay. I just bought upper and lower for $134 shipped. They are brushed finish, but I'm gonna polish them when they get here.

Here's my carriage works grille. Crappy pics but I'll be taking some more later on. I also bought the bumper insert too but haven't taken any pics since then though.

I installed a T-Rex billet on my 2004 Lariat. I to did not want a bolt on so I took the time to disassemble the grill and cut out the honeycomb insert and then fit the billet into the remaining frame. I also installed the bumper grill and that was a bolt on.

This company has a great price on an insert billet grill. Anybody have any experience with them?

Hey Medisconna this is where I bought my T-Rex but I did not buy the bolt on. I went with the flush mount and the bumper grill. It requires you to seperate the shell from the honeycomb insert after removing it from the truck. After you have it seperated you have to cut away the honeycomb from the retainer. Once that it is done you reassemble with your new billet. This is a better way to go then the bolt on because you have billet all the way to the shell. If you decide to go this way and need advice let me know
