Clearing Trouble with Line of Fire Light Bar

As anyone had any clearing problems with their Line of Fire light??? The top edge of mine hits the open tailgate, not the light but the plastic.
What can or should I do to clear the tailgate when its open??

Well, I put on the" Line of Fire" today I had to trim the top down alot .Plus I had to shave the edge of it too to make the tailgate clear it. I used a air die grinder. Looks good , you have to look at it close to see where I shaved it.

do you know if that is an actual 'line of fire' break light? (made by altec products) or is it some cheap knockoff?

been looking at these for a while, but wasen't sure about the ones from ebay.

Yes, this is the Altec "Line of Fire", the 49 inch one for Flaresides & SuperCrews. It mounts on the bed between the tailgate & opening. There is on most Fords a lip on the edge. Thats where you put it. All you need to measure is the center to make it look right at night. I got this one Off Ebay Auction from ...
Truck & SUV . Accesories. The owners name is Ross Gardner. I paid 98.00 thats with shipping too. I`ll try to get a closer view later tonight
