Red Rope Light @ Wal-Mart

Has anyone here tried to use the 12 volt red rope light at Wal-Mart for a "Line of Fire" brake light under their talegate.
It`s only $8.00 you get 15 feet .

15 feet is a whole lot of brake light.

I would avoid it if they are not DOT approved. That is a ticket waiting to happen.

As long as you are using your regular tail lights/ brake lights, I wouldn't think adding these would be "illegal".

Anyways, can these be "cut to fit"?? I might take a couple and fit them under my bed rails to use as a bed light. hmmmmmmm

I saw someone that used the rope light in a Dodge truck I believe, it looked horrible, but thats just my opinion. I just saw it driving bye so I odnt know anything else about it. And by the way theres nothing wrong with altezza taillights as long as you dont overkill your truck with stuff like that, I have them on my screw and i get compliments all the time, it did take me some time to get used to them however.
