Have anybody on the board used the LT Tonneau Cover on a new 04 F150? I went to this web site http://www.ltsportcover.com
and found this lite nice cover which is supposed to have this specs:

No expreience with this cover but it looks to be about $200 more than I payed for my painted to match ARE LSII.

 

It's more expensive and I don't know if the $200 difference is worthed been this in aluminum and removable. How do you like your ARE. I stopped by the dealer to see it, but he wasn't able to open the lid (because the truck was parked in an uneven surface, he said and it was cold) Have you had any trouble with this fiberglass tonneau cover? Is it removable in case you need to use your full bed space?

 

I havn't had any problem with my cover. It is removable but weighs more than the cover you were looking at (I think its a little over 100lbs). Removal is simply a matter of loosening 4 clamps that hold it on but it takes two people to lift it off (mainly so you don't scrap the paint on your truck with a large bulky item like this). Based on the pictures of the cover you were looking at the ARE cover opens in a similar manner. I added an option they had to have the cover auto lock or unlock whenever I lock or unlock my doors.
