Hey guys. I'm looking on eBay about to buy a set of Altezza taillights. I noticed that some people say they fit 97-00 and some people say they fit 97-99. Can someone tell me the years they will fit.

I have a 2000 Flareside F-150 5.4L. Is 1997 taillights the same fit for my 2000?

I believe the 97-98 and some 99's used the three blub system and the rest used only two blubs. They should all fit your truck.

 

Yup...I bought L tails for my 97...I just taped up the extra running light socket and used the turn/brake socket..They all fit there's just an extra bulb socket on the older ones..

 

Awesome help guys. Can you guys tell me which years had the 3 bulb socket and which year started the 2 bulb.

Also....In your opinion, which do you like better. 2 bulb or 3 bulb or does it not make much of a diff.

There are abour 3-4 diff types of taillights im looking at buying on eBay. If anyone had experiance on there on buynig taillights please share your opinion with me on how they look and what you prefer.

You can go to my gallery & look at the tail lights I got off ebay. I love them. Is your `s 2 or 3 lights? If you only have 2, them you can tie in to the one with another socket from a wrecked truck make it a 3 light tail light.

my truck has the three bulb set up. i bought some tails off of ebay and had to modify the bottom hole on the passenger side tail to make it work. i still like them though.

 

I was actually just looking at your truck. Your truck is very clean looking. You have alot of things done that I plan on doing.

F150, what kind of lights are you looking at?

 

I'm looking at all the taillights on eBay. There are a few diff styles on there. I'm just trying to find pictures and see what best apeals to me. Very hard choice.

As far as headlights...I think i'm buying the projectors as posted above in the eBay link.

 

I dont think 2 bulb versus 3 bulb makes a difference to the wiring harness.

The physical taillight housing will fit.

The better question is, does the 2 bulb use the same harness as the 3 bulb? Meaning when they changed bulbs did they change the harness with the design.

I would say yes. My 98 styleside is a 2 bulb and I am almost positive it uses the same light harness as the flareside which you guys say used 3 bulbs in the same model year
