Headlight help

Happy New Year!!

So I just installed my new Harley headlights and corners, and they look great. However, there are gaps between the heads and the grill surround. I had gaps with the stock lights and from checking out other F-150s, they seem to be normal. But the gaps with the new lights are bigger. I can stick my index finger in the gaps. These are OEM HD lights that I installed made by Visteon, and they are the same size as the stocks.

Could I have made a mistake in the installation?

Yes, check the inside location pin or holder. I too put in new headlights & corners(TYC" L"), had trouble with the inner pin too. I finally got it in.But I also had to change the header panel from the early 97` to 98` Header panel.
