Driving lights wiring
Hi,
You might get a better responce over in the electrical section or maybe try a search cause I know I have seen the question asked about an ignition switched power source.
I believe I remember seeing that there are some places in the under hood fuse/relay box that are switched with the ignition. Also I am not positive but I think the power distribution box (next to the battery) has two posts, one that is normally on, one that is ignition switched on (might want to check it with a multimeter).
Personally where I got power from was the power antennae/amp lead coming out of the radio harness. I had the radio pulled out though so it was easy to get to and I was using it for my amp anyways so thats where I have gotten a switched power source from. Of course this is a low current source so you will want to use a relay with whatever you plan on using. Plus it already has a fuse in the truck so you dont have to worry about putting a fuse inline.
Good luck!
