Different lower valance.

Does anyone know of a company that makes an lower valance, (piece under the bumper), that DOESN"T have fog light holes in it?

I already swapped a 4x4 bumper on my 4x2 and have the factory fog lights installed in it.
Just looking for something a little more sporty, (like a front air dam), looking deal instead of the stock expedition piece I"ve got on there right now.

Thanks for any replies/info in advance.

You can go sporty with still using foglights. Check out this gallery I made and mention any you like and I will try to help you with pricing and where to find it.

How about that street scene L bumper for the 97-98's?
Looks like you could run without the fog lights in that one, and look pretty cool. (other than the 3 openings in the front end of the vehicle).

How much and who to get it from?
And, will it bolt up without too much hassle to a 4x4 bumper?

thanks for the help!

try www.truckperformance.com or www.stylinconcepts.com

It should work with a 4x4, you just wont have access to your tow hooks.

No. Mine's not a 4x4, but I"ve got a 4x4 bumper on it. (only way to put factory fog lights on the truck). 4x2's did not have that as an option, unless you went aftermarket.

And the biggest diff (whether or not it is a bolt on type unit), the holes for mounting differ greatly between a 4x2 and a 4x4 valance. (granted, some modification is ALWAYS necessary), but the less, the better.

thanks.

You will leave the upper portion of the factory bumper and remove the lower valance part with the fog lights. Then the bumper cover attatches to the upper portion of the bumper with screws and 3M tape. As long as you have a 97-98 F150 it will work just fine.

I understand the lower portion/valance being not used, but it will mess with the factory fog lights?

I believe that portion of the bumper will be removed. You will leave the bumper section just below the grille surround. I have only had experience with the 99+ bumper, but I'm sure it is the same way.

Nice truck

Ok, they only part you are wanting to remove is the black portion right? If so, then no it will not mess with the fogs. All the black part is there for is to look nice. If you go outside you will see nuts holding it on. Now if you were going to replace the whole thing, then yes the fogs would be effected.

I have the Piaa airdamn on my 4x2. It is made for 4x4's but I had no problems mounting it.

Check out the pictures here, https://www.f150online.com/galleries...w.cfm?num=4359

Hey eposey, you can add the pictures of my airdamn to your gallery.

I kinda like the new lower valance that is on the STx's. It's clean looking and although it does have driving lights in it, it looks good but not too bulky. doesn't look like you have your chin sticking out.

I was looking at the PIAA airdam for my 2003, but Truck Perfomrance Center says it only fits up to 97-01. Will the one TPC lists for 97-01 mount on my 03?
