How do shaved door and tailgate handles work? How do you get them open?

You have remotes that pop the doors open when you press them. When I was in Panama City a few months ago a guy forgot his keys inside his eclipse and had shaved door handles. They had to call a lock smith to open the door.

If you get shaved handles, you better get onstar and make sure they can open your door.

Is that Ford compatible? The only commercials I heard was that it was offered on Saturns.

I have also seen (as a backup) to install a remote keypad in the bed of the truck.

Most of the vehicles I have seen with shaved handle have a hidden button, in case you lose your keys, but I don't like that. Someone could easily stumble upon it... or see you using it... and what do you do when the battery dies?

we shaved my cousin's t-bird.......

the dead battery problem was something that we thought of first and foremost, we used Moroso remote battery posts......we mounted them under the front bumper.....so if it eaver dies, hook up the battery charger to the posts and your back in business.....they are not visible from the outside, you have to actually lay under it to get to them

you mount poppers in the doors and when you press the botton the striker springs out and pushes the door open, the stricker hits the door frame.

So when you hit the open button the door swings out and puts a ding on the next car?
