New truck, new mods

I picked up my new truck today. 2003 F150 Lariat 4X4 , two tone paint (can't think of the exact names right now but dark red and grey), moonroof, split bench, trailer pkg, power everything, etc.

I have just finished taking off the dealer stickers and acetoning the emblems. Tomorrow the grille and bra from the old truck will be added. Wednesday is window tinting day and friday is when the chrome exhaust will be added (I am thinking 3" again)

Also tomorrow the truck will get a shiny coat of wax and the question for you is whether to remove the lariat stripe or not. I am keeping the word "lariat" but not sure of the stripe.

I guess it is time to change my sig.

yeah, get rid of that crap! You could do something tribial*sp* on the left and right of "Larait" That would be cool.

Well since mine was baked on for the last 6 yrs it was pretty hard, and didn't just "peel off" as some people stated.

I got the hair dryer and that helped in removal, but mine was on there good, so I used our smooth-top oven scraper, but make sure is nice and flat as to not scratch the truck(I didn't)

I used some stuff from Autozone to get rid of the left over sticky stuff from the stripes. Since your truck is newer it should just "peel off" good luck

I have not tried nor read about removing the strip but I am curious....how good is the transition from the one color to the other? On my last truck I assumed it probably didnt look to good under that strip and decided not to mess with it.

I used a hair dryer and a credit card to take off my 'Sport' emblems. Worked great.

Well after removing the stripes at least 2 months ago, I can still see ghost stripes If you plan on removing them, do it as soon as you can!!
