I purchased Ford splash guards for my 2003 lariat 4x4, they are black and I would like to paint them the same color as my vehicle (paint code FX). Can anyone explain what I need to do.

 

Hi, doing the same thing to my SVT'ized STX but had to buy Huskyliners to cover up splash from Lightning rims/tires. Just make sure you tell your bodyshop painter to add "flex" to the paint. "Flex" allows the paint to, well, flex without cracking or flaking when it's bent or twisted. It won't make the paint invincible but the movement that splashguards normally go through won't bother it.
