Uh.. what's the point in doing that?

 

I love your ride Closer9. I want that same bumper valance as you have. I like it because it keeps things looking similar to stock but better, without trying to look like a lightning. What brand of bumper cover did you go with and who did you order it from, please tell me what type of grill you have too.

 

It's actually a stock 4x2 Expedition cover. They're not real easy to find since they don't have the cutouts for the tow hooks. I found mine on ebay, along with most of the parts I used to build a wiring harness, and I bought the light assemblies off a member here. I used Krylon Fusion black gloss paint on the valance. I'm still VERY happy with this addition. In my opinion it's the best looking valance out there right now.

If you're still interested in one I'm pretty sure you can get the valance from Ford, but I'm sure it would be VERY pricey. I'd suggest browsing ebay or even the classifieds here. If there's anything I can help with feel free to ask. It was really a very easy install including the custom harness.

 

Oh cool! I have a Black 2001 F150 extra cab flare side. If I ordered a 2001 Expy bumper cover from a site that sells aftermarket covers, will it fit? I really want the look you have, I think its beautiful (monochromatic rocks). I'm not sure of the quality between the real stocker vs. aftermarket, I was just wondering if it would fit? If yours fit, I'm thinking that aftermarket would fit too, I really don't need the tow hooks though, I don't have those. Also, I like your grill as well. What brand is it bro? I like how the ford emblem extends out from each side, kinda like a chrysler vehicle in a way. Please hook me up with your brand of grill?

I think that's the same grill I have. I have been thinking about going with a different style I found recently. Looks kinda like a BMW or Pontiac. I haven't seen anyone with anything close, so that's a big plus for me. I really like the monochrome scheme too. If by chance I get the other grill, and your interested in mine, I'll keep you in mind...

As for the valance I know all F150's 99-03 will interchange, and I think the 99-02 Expy's will too. I don't think it would be a problem. Can you post pix of your new valance or a link to where you bought it. I'd like to see it... does it have fog lights?
