WESTIN or SMITTYBUILT "Nerf" Running Bars ..

I found two style of "competing" nerf, running bars in my travels, but don't really know which one is better, or what have you.

I want: CHROME bars, that attach without 15 support bars, a moulded step with the black treads for a 3 door extended cab (IE, ONE step up on the drivers side and TWO step ups on the passenger side ..) I am sick of seeing the FOUR STEP UPS for the three door trucks, looks pretty fake, right?!

I am not sure which model I saw on these trucks (in parking lots! - it was a quick glance ...!)

but does anyone have either of these? I know each comapny makes a few models:

three styles for what I want, not sure how to decide though ..

the OUTBOUND:

the MODULAR (says Rugged multi-bolt attachment, so that might be the 15 support bars I didn't want - but can't tell by the photo used - good for marketing, huh?!)

PLATINUM SERIES

What are the OVAL Westin bars I have been hearing about?!

THANKS SO MUCH!!

The Smittybuilt are polished stainless, not chrome. There is a slight difference. Some say that stainless turns yellow over time.

When I was looking for myself, the Smittybuilt Outbound looked the best to me. After much research on here, other truck sites, and local retailers, Westin was by far the most recommended. The Chrome Plated Stainless (CPS) held up the best and the customer support was by far the best. The oval tubes are similar to the Smittybuil Outbound, just a straight tube, 5" oval. The Regular Westin steps are 3" round with a flattened step. I thought the oval tubes were too large.

Anyway, do a search on westin and you'll get a lot of information, all good. Pic 1 and Pic 2
