Where can I find a bumper like this - only more "style'ish"?
I have a '98 F150 and the cab windows are tinited, along with all the windows on the cap. So, at night, it's sometimes hard to see though all the darkened out windows. Well, I would like to add some lights back there - in addition to my stock backup lights.
I was surfing on google, and I found a bumper that fits my needs PERFECTLY - but it looks like it's more for a work truck, and well, I'd like to see if anyone else offers one.
Here is what I found:

Do you see what I'm after? The lights in the bumper.... thats what I want, and also have the stock backup lights on when I go into reverse.
Any ideas?

If you have a class III hitch I think this would be much cheaper and better looking:

you can find it here:http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts....categoryid=114

I tried one of those hitch lights, and sent it back the next day. It blocks all the safety chain locations.
If you want some additional light ( bumper is actually in good repair ) that you can put on with the reverse lights or with a switch get a set of the 4" LED backup lights from Truck-Lite.
I have the straight brackets hanging directly below the stock lights. The ones that I got are the backup lights made to be a single light, but put 2 of them in. The set draws 1 amp total ( .5 each light ) and they kick out the light completly.
They will push light for about 50' to 60' deep and in a wide pattern. I tried this at my friends house, and it light up the garage door across the street from him, pulled into his driveway.
Sorry about the blury picture, the camera could not fid anything to focus on in the dark. I turned on the lights with the switch to take the picture, rather then having the truck in reverse with the parking brake on, and wheel chocks, trying to run me over
The lights in the cap are the Truck Light 60 series LED STT lights for a comparison.
Brackets and lights are seperate part numbers and ordered seperatly. I got them here 2 years ago :

There might be cheaper around now that the lights have been out for more then 4 months.
Good luck

SSCULLY..... Got any pics of those lamps in the daytime? I'm real curious to see what they look like mounted to your truck. I'd like a good solution to the backup lighting issue. How much did you shell out for the complete backup lighting solution?

I'd like to know as well.
Thanks!
Sorry it took so long, I just got home, and grabbed the pictures.
Let me know if you want different ones.
This is the view from the rear. The LEDs are 4" in diameter, and the bracket adds about 3/8" of an inch on each side.
Kind of hard to tell with a black bracket against the black mud flap.
This is a view from the side of the truck. Note how thin they are.
The ones that I got are the model 44 backup lights.
The lights are from the one-lamp system, p/n : 44205C.
The set draws 1 amp total, and use a gromet mounting.
The brackets that I got are the straight brackets, and mounted the behind the sheet metal that the tail light is in front of.
There are also 90* brackets, that you could mount to the hitch if you wanted.
I foget the cost of the set, they were in the $200.00 range if memory served correctly. Not cheap. If you look at a local truck shop you might be able to get them local now.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Maybe close off the hole with some T&B DuctSeal and you would be all set. Never tried this myself mind you, so I don't know how well it would work, but in all theory it should.
Good Luck
I used a SPDT switch, one to the reverse lamps on the trailer harness , the other to the parking lamps.
They actually draw less then 1 amp operational, so it is not a huge load.
If you search there is a post on hooking up actual fog lamps, with a relay and a switch diagram, using the reverse circuit in the trailer harness, and the constatnt power source so they are operational when in reverse and when needed.
