Its simple, they look like crap if they come in any other color other then white. If they are white then they show off the ride but having all kinds of colors is not very cool. I have been to a lot of auto shows and a lot of people seem to agree with this. Last week I was walking at an autoshow and saw a group of people laughing. I walked up and they were asking a mustang owner how much hp he gained from the lights 
Maybe its because they were purple 
If you want to go with some clear hologen white bulbs then I guess it can look ok.

Whats the difference between having white lights underneath your car or red ones? They are both colors of lights. As long as you go with a color that goes along with your paint scheme, I think they look good. So what if you see them on a lot of rice cars, doesnt make them rice. Not trying to start an argument here, I just think people are too quick to label something as rice just because imports abuse the hell out of it.

I know I am going to get bashed as liking "RICE", but I don't care. I think the underbody looks really nice, especially on a nice truck. I don't think anyone can sit there and say a truck like Harley's or any other nice truck on this site doesn't look good with neon. I don't have it myself, due to the laws in IA, but if I could I would. Just my $.02

I agree. I do not have them either, but I will be getting some of the street glows when I drop my truck.
I just want to know what makes low glows rice? If its because they are found on a lot of imports, then clear tails, corners, and body kits are rice too. I guess that would make an L rice? Nope, a car with a bunch of useless stuff is rice, not an individual mod.

Got it. Another question my pickup sits 21" of the ground is that to high to see the whole effect of neons.
