window channel vent visors?

Anyone know which company, if any, makes the vent visors that will not stick to the PAINT/DOOR of my truck? I guess I'd settle for some that stick to the window moulding. On my 93 Ranger I had a nice set that used adhesive strips INSIDE the channel of the window, making for a very CLEAN look.

Please advise.

Sacto

Weather tech has nice ones that fit in the window channel, no adhesive, I think vent visor also has this type available.I have the Weather tech on my Expy and there great.

Mine are made by EGR. Fit in the window channel. No tape. Install in seconds.

Question

Thanks,

Added question... If there is no adhesive, then what keeps any of these in place?

They go all the way down in front of the mirror, so they're bound on the back and bottom by the window frame... I got VentVisors from AutoZone. (See they don't have just rice junk)...

I "think" there's a decent picture in my gallery...

Looking at your gallery, I noticed your Bug Guard. What kind is it? I saw a similar one today on a chebbie. I like that nothing touches the hood. I saw one yesterday that has little plastic "feet" that rest on the outer surface of the hood. It seems taht the "ffeet" would eventually leave a mark and/or scratch the paint.

Nice Truck!

Rileyrott,
Thanks for the compliment. I need to get some new pix in there though.
Actually there are two small feet, one each outer side that touch the hood, but there is an adhesive backed rubber pad on the hood. Since the adhesive side is on the hood it can't slide around or rub much... I'm pretty happy with it.
I still don't know what brand it is. There are no markings on it (which I like!) I keep saying I'm going to ask my buddy that sold me the truck (Ford Sales guy), but I keep forgetting. He had the bug guard added and windows tinted for me...

Talking

This is all very good, even the chat about the bug guard. I used to think that the LUND Interceptor was the one I wanted, but the EGR ones seems to be REALLY thick and sets off against the hood. I really like their Carbon Fiber look one. Anyone know the difference in prices and brands? Best place to get these items?

THANKS!

I have the EGR shades on my 99 Super Cab (fronts only). I love them! The only thing I'd point out is that since they go from the top rear of the door frame to the bottom front, the passenger side shade partially blocks the rear view mirror (about an inch of viewing surface). I got used to it after a couple of days, but it would be something to consider. (Anything that would be in that part of my mirror is probably also into the side of my bed!)

Among the positives for the EGR, they are thicker than VentShade and Weather Tech; they are darker than Weather Tech (if that's the effect you want). I want to eventually tint my front windows, and these shades have definitely already 'darkened' the interior.

FYI, you can get WeatherTechs in dark.

Just installed a set of Draw-Tight in -the-channel vent visors. Got them for $44 for a set of 4 for a Screw. They look really good.

Installed the darkened WeatherTech's (front windows only) on my SCab. They are great. I like the "low profile", i.e. they don't stick out from the window much. Easy to install---NO tape.

Thumbs up

I have had the Weather Techs on my truck for over 4 years and have had no problem with them.
