Window Tint***NEED PICS***

I am thinking about tinting the front two windows of my 2000 F150 Supercab and I was wondering if anyone has pics of thier truck that has tinted the front to windows. I am trying to figure out what darkness of tint looks best with the factory deep tint glass of the rear three windows. Any help would be great.

IMHO, matching the front windows to the back looks best. Check your state law on front window tinting. There are restrictions in Michigan: only a 4" band from the top of the window is allowed. Regardless, many people do it. I had the front windows tinted on my truck for over 4 years before I fianlly got pulled over this spring.

Here are some pics of 20%. I read somewhere on the net that factory privacy glass is usually 15%.

That's 35% Tex?! That doesn't look that dark...

if the rear stock tint is 20%, the fronts definately don't look as dark...

Thanks for the pics, they are very helpful. That first pic the windows look darker than hell. The law in IA is basically no tint(%70 only) on the front windows. I have tinted every vehicle I have ever had so that is no big deal. I think I am going to go with 35%, that 20% looks a little dark. Thanks again.

That one picture is so dark because of the overcast weather. The last two are more typical of what is looks like.

I had 35% all around on my last car. It looked okay, but it had a dark interior color.

That's about what I'd like to have...

What does a tint job cost these days? Anything I should look out for? Methods?

I had my S - cab done last fall. Can't remember just what I paid but it was reasonable ( or else my cheap *** wouldn't have done it!) Tint used was 22% and it is a perfect match.

Thanks twisted. That's kind of what I'd like to have is the same look on the front and rear...

Anyone know what a factory power rear slider's tint % is?

i walked into a tinting place and simply asked to match the front two windows to everything else - 45 dollars and ten minutes later it was done and matched perfectly. i have no idea what % tint it is, but it works for me.

I thought I read factory is 15%. The 20% I used was close, but certain lighting makes me think the rear is a little darker. Could just be that the windshield lets in light and makes the front side windows look a little lighter. Optics....

I paid $70 in 1999 from a reputable shop. I have seen $40-80 for just the two front windows. The place where I ahd that Contour done was cheaper and I was not as impressed with his craftmanship. It turned out okay for the year I had it, but I wasn't as pleased initially and suspect it would not have looked as good after 4 years like the truck did.
