Finally got the side windows tinted.

Had to replace the rear sliding glass, because of severe water leakage, and the only way that comes is privacy glass, (i.e. tinted), so had to have the side windows tinted to match.

Hardly wait for a sunny day to enjoy it........

I can't say for sure, but it's either 10 or 20%. Probably 10. I know the rears can be really dark, but I told the tinter dude to tint it, and it better be legal.

The picture makes it look a little darker than it actually is.

Finishes the truck up I think.

Looks like it is about 35% or so. The rear window makes it look darker. On the subject of tint, anyone have pics of an extended cab F150 with the front windows tinted and the back windows with the factory deep tint??? I want to tint my front windows, but I wonder how it will look.

I can't speak for him, but around here...

Stripping and retinting with a front brow runs about 175 for 20%. Colored tint puts you up to about 200

I talked to the guy who did the work yesterday. It's called 35% tint.
It cost me $126.00 to have just the two side windows done.

I think I'm done tweaking the truck now............(can't think of anything else I want to do to it).

Why don't you all just buy the tint and do it yourself. I tinted both of my windows (door windows) for $15. One box of tint. I did mine 5%. The prices you guys are talking is WWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too much!!!!!!

It isn't hard at all to tint your own windows. If you would like to know more, just pm me.

I started doing it when I was 14, and got paid to do it, (also worked off a few community service hours by tinting the local cop cars)

Drag stang,

Where did you get your hood scoop from, and cost if you don't mind?

I got the idea the other day that I wanted one. I think it will look awesome with my L bumper and grilles. My truck is solid white and I talked to my sprayer guy, and he can spray the hood to make it look like body lines just like the stang has.

The hood scoop cost me, (at my dealership cost), around 85 bucks, or so. The grille insert, (which if you don't customize the hood to fit), has to be cut substantially to fit.
I ordered it right off the 2001-2002 mustang gt. No problem. They list them as coming painted, but the only option is unpainted. I didn't tweak mine too much to fit, so I know it can be done better. (again, the no patience gig).

As far as tinting the windows myself?.............Not. I've done it many, many years ago to previous cars, and it takes WAAAAY more patience then I've got. That and the fact that every one of the attempts I made turned out miserably, paying to have it done professionally was my only option.

It's guaranteed/warranteed for life, so if it does mess up, no problem.
