If you want good work you gotta pay the price. in life you get what u pay for.

Well I seem to have a littlelife experiance and yes you do get what you pay for and in my book it is always better to spend a little more ona quality piece than trying to save a few bucks I was simply saying 30.00 seemed a bit high for 1 Overlay but I have not seen his work yet and although it appears to be very good it is still hard to stomach the price. Actaully i saw an article on another website that actually showed how to remove emblem and chage the color of the blue to any color you want but considering you then have to apply a lot of 2sided tape to be able to stick it back on the truck that did not appeal to me. A perfect example of spend a little more to get what you want how you want.

well the stock tailgate emblem is stuck on with double sided tape, i wouldn't see any issues with that. but with making your own emblems, the envirotex stuff isn't UV protected and tends to yellow after time.

I've got a set of vaporlocks tailgate, grille, and steering wheel overlays and they are top notch. and they aren't just a regular sticker, they are gel coated over top of, so they look like an OEM emblem

Thanks Harley356 guess you saw that article also huh? I really do like the Black/Silver overlay(RAIDER FAN HERE) and may end up getting the one for the tailgate and maybe one for the front grill emblem if he makes those as well. I am without a doubt going to get the XLT gel coated pieces though for my Acetoned Badges. Guess i should have kept that quiet.

Hey Richard, can you post pics of the XLT gel coats when you get them installed. I am still rolling the idea over in my head of installing them on my truck, and would like to see what they look like installed.

I have also ordered the emblems from Terry and am very pleased with the results. Have also ordered a fixed rear window with the Harley Wings etched which should be arriving any day now. Will post a picture when I get it.

I just ordered some stuff from him also and it should be here soon. I did have a little bit of trouble getting a hold of him and it has taken him a little time but I should have them soon. I didn't get the Ford Grill and tailgate overlays at this time just due to the cost but I got some other things and one he even made custom which is awesome. As soon as I get them I will get some pics and get them posted so everyone can see them.

Well I still have not purchsed the XLT gels because Vapor has still not posted them on his site and he wont answer my e mails when I ask if he can send me a picture or at least put them up on his site so I can see them in order to purchase them. I realize he runs this as a side operation but how can he expect people to buy things when he won't even answer e mails and post the items he sells so you can see them.

I had to email him about three or four times to see if he could do what I wanted, then two or three more to get the order finalized. It then took about a week so far and I think he sent them out yesterday. It just takes him some time it seems to get things done. It is a side job and I guess we just have to be understanding of that. I would just keep emailing him.

I have had custom emblems now for about 6 months... NO yellowing what so ever... plus, as cheap as the emblems are and as cheap as the Ford Ovals are... who cares if they yellow over a year or so? Not me...

Don't bash it because you didn't do it Josh and went the short cut way on free stuff.

Plus, at least it's not just me having troubles communicating with Terry. Geeeesh.

As you can see from my prior post I am fully aware that it is a side job for him I have been trying to get a picture of the XLT gel coats for well over 1 month now and still nothing and have e mailed him many times as well. so I just said forget it if it is that much of a hasssle for him to try and keep the thing going and make his customers wait so long maybe he should consider closing his doors. There is a old saying that i belive frimly in and that is The Customer ALWAYS comes first. Especially if you want to stay in business. One bad experiance word spreads like wild fire while one good experiance spread more like molasses.

Just curious, what email address are you using to get a hold of him?? I ordered some things the other day like I said earlier and I emailed him and he got back to me. He also said he has multiple accounts so that may be the problem. Just and idea.

Hey Jag, until Josh shows up with his pics, here's a couple of mine. I had Vapor (Terry) do me a custom tailgate badge overlay (black and silver to match the other stock badges) and a set of SVT centers for my Lightning replica wheels. Both of these items are excellent quality and I am very pleased with the end result.

Sorry so many of you guys have had trouble getting a hold of Terry. I guess I was lucky and had a really easy time getting my stuff.
