Exterior Styling, Cheaper Mods????

I have done a few things to my 2000 F150 and I was wondering what some cheaper mods I can do to get some more looks on my truck. I don't want to spend a lot of money. So based on the mods in my signature what should I do next that won't break the bank???

I would start with a lift kit or a lowering kit. If your truck doesn't sit right it will never look right. Do you want your truck higher or lower? Here are some exterior mods I am going to do this summer:

West Wing Lightning Body Kit
Low Profile Hard Tonneau Cover- paint matched
Cervini's Hood
Upper and Lower Speed Grills
Headlights and corners
Ghost Flames

Thanks for the ideas. I would love to lift my truck, but a suspension lift for our truck are $1500 or more and that is just to much. I am looking for apperance mods and if I wanted to I would raise my truck over lower. Thanks for the reply.

I think the street scene kit is the best for the f150, but the Lightning one is badass too. Anyways, truckperformance.com has all street scene products for 10% off right now.

Now that I know how you want your truck to stand, it makes picking parts easier. Street Scene makes great products. I don't think you want a Lightning bumper on a raised truck. It really all depends on what kind of look you are going for. If you are going for a "powerful" look then I would go with a hood, grill, big tires, and the loudest exhaust you can find. Thats what I would do but I am sure you have other opinions.

I already have one of those and it looks great. I was thinking of a billet grill, but I don't want the polished look. All items I have on the truck are black right now. Does anyone sell a Black billet grill, that would match well. I have big tires, loud exhaust and a brush guard and things. I just don't know what to do next. A new hood is to pricey. I was thinking of getting those add on hood scoops that ventshad makes, they don't look to bad.

I think a company named Trenz or something like that sells a black billet. Also the stock grill on 2002 Lightnings is a black bar grill.

I will have to look into the Trenz grill. I wonder what the lighting grill would cost me and if it would fit my 2001 F150????

I would wait until you have enough money to buy quality parts. Buy a new hood, you can paint any grill you buy, and some engine mods(if you don't already have some). A tonneau cover is a good idea. Just some suggestions.

i say do some of the small stuff.

make your logos match your paint. its in the tech section.

make your side badges chrome. also in the tech articals

remove your tail gate latch and paint it to match if its not already

my tail gate handle and door handle arre already color matched from the factory and when i see other f150's that are not i am thrilled that mine are. i think it makes a huge difference.

aslo do a search on ebay for Ford Badges. there is a flame addition to your Badge that i really like. when applyed it looks very custom but also looks factory. there is one thast just a sticker and that ones crap but the other is raised like the factory badge .

well gl to ya

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to do some small things for now like badges and things, then move on to a larger one if I decide. I have put enough money into the truck I think so I was just looking for smaller mods to do. Thanks.

If you want to spice up the rear of your truck, I suggest a set of APC carbon fiber Euro tail lights. I bought a set awhile back, and man does it ever set my truck apart from the others. I got mine at Stylin' Concepts. And if I remember right, they were $169.95 a pair. It wasn't too expensive, and they look awesome.
