Question Easy Question

How the heck do you remove the black plastic moulding at the base of the antenna? I have tried everything and even gouged my paint once and am now really mad about that. This seems like a very easy part to remove, but it is STUCK!!! I felt inside the fender and couldn't make out anything that might "spring" this devil free. Thanks

just get a small flat head screw driver. put that inbetween the rubber thing that is against the paint and the bottom of the plastic base. then just twist and pull up. the side of the base will pop up, then put the screwdriver in a little further and pull up and the other side will come off. Its really easy. That rubber thing stays against the paint though, so if you are prying between that little rubber plate and the paint, you won't get anywhere
