Question bad paint(crows foot)

i just bought an 2001 F150 supercrew in great shape, but i noticed that the paint job is cracked all over the truck. i took it to the dealer and they said they could not do anything about it. is there any one else out there with the same problem? if so what is next?

No similar paint problems on my 01 SCrew.

Sucks to find out now that there is a paint defect.

You can try the regional Ford rep or goto Ford Customer Service, and ask them what you can do about it.

Maybe Ford CS will give you a different answer then the dealer.

It might just might be what they consider a cosmetic defect, and they are not going to up the money to fix it, unless it does something else. Got me...never had a paint problem on a truck before so this is just a pontification.

Good luck in going the Ford CS route, let us know what happens.

I was told by my dealer that "cosmetic" defects are only covered by a 12/12,000 warranty instead of the 36/36,000. I would not think that cracked paint would be cosmetic, but we all know how Ford, (or any manufacturer), will try to get out of paying.
