Bridging an amp?

How exactly do I do this. The manual doesnt explain this at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

On a 2-channel amp you would connect the positive lead of the speaker to the positive connector on channel 1 and the negative lead of the speaker to the negative connector of channel 2.

Let me add that if your speaker is a 4 ohm speaker you are OK for most amps. If it is a 2 ohm speaker then most amps will NOT be able to run bridged without burning up!

Don't you also need to connect the negative output of channel 1 to the positive output of channel 2? That would give you the combined output of both channels across the load (speaker).

Nope, you don't need to do anything with the channel 1 negative and the channel 2 positive. Just leave them as be and follow Mike's instructions. (and I will mention again....don't run an amp bridged to a 2 ohm sub! Bad things will happen)

check first

Check first that it is bridgeable. Their are some lower end amps that aren't bridgeable.
