How many watts should i get for this?
Well since Ive found out that theres no way to control my factory cd changer in my 02 Lightning with an aftermarket headunit, Ive decided to just amp the stock stereo.
Ive already got Polk DX7s in all 4 corners and I dont plan on doing a sub, so how many watts would it take to really wake up my system? 50 per channel? 100 per channel? Im not trying to build a boomin system, I just want it loud and as clean as possible.
Thanks Guys!

I would amp the Polks with no more than 50wRMS and keep the gain a little low. With that amount of power, when a bass note hits, the speaks are gonna flex beyond their capacity with any amount of volume. That's where a sub(s) come in handy.
They play the lows and the Polks get the higher which in turn makes them play cleaner and louder.
