extra wire

extra wire

i am helping my friend to put in an amp
and the @#$%ing thing has an extra wire it has a red and orange a blue and a black the orange says it must be connected to 10A of power at all times but i have no idea what the other ones are for since they have no label
any help would be appreciated

10 amps is a lot of juice for some mystery auxillary wire. What model amp is it? I'd leave the thing unconnected first, see how it works. If it wants constant power to the orange wire, just wire it up with your 12v hot. (red wire) I've never heard of an amp needing any more than a constant 12v, remote, and ground to operate.
