Trying to Matching Amp to Sub... Is this a Good Combo?

Hi Everyone,

I decided its finally time to add a sub to my F150 do to the poor quality system in it... I will be keeping my Factory HU.

I found a Sub that fit under the rear seats and that's in my price range. Now I'm trying to match it to a good amp, It's my first time modding any of my cars audio system.

The Sub that I found is the Pioneer Slim 10" Shallow Pre- Loaded Enclosure (TSSWX2502) rated for a Peak of 1200W and 300 RMS with an Impedance of 4 Ω

The Amp I think is pretty close to those numbers is the Rockville RXA-F1 1600 Watt Peak/800w RMS 4 Channel Car Stereo Amplifier

Please let me know what y'all think of this combo or if you've got suggestions for an amp that would be more compatible.

Thanks In Advance

Here's a higher quality amp and they are under rated on power output.

That amplifier is a four channel stereo amplifier. What you will need is a mono channel amplifier like what was mentioned in the post before mine.
Although I do not run anything Rockford, It should work fine.

I just finished my 17 standard cab. I used a Plug n Play 400w with LOC kit and an 8” Blaupunkt powered compact sub. I did my own custom 3 way set up so my results will be different than yours in overall sound. If you have a 4 speaker set up this is in fact PnP. If you have a standard cab with door and tweeter per side the rear speaker function might not be activated and the PnP harness will need to be modified to pick the speaker signal post amplifier.
