I will be upgrading my 2012, non-Sony, w/ Sync and Factory tweeters system in the next week or so.

I have purchased an audio control LC2i to do this work.

My question is: If I tap into the midbass speaker wiring off the back of the stock HU to send to the LC2i, will it include the higher, tweeter only frequencies as well?

There should be a crossover somewhere that splits it between tweet and mid. So the line coming out the head unit assuming there's only 4 sets of speaker lines should have both frequencies on it. So if you add a new component set then you'll just have to use the crossover with it to split the signal between the two.
