I need help finding a compatible amp!

Hey i just bought 2 12'' 4ohm polk audio dxi124 dvc subs. They put out 360 rms each.
I need to find a monoblock amp that has at least 720 rms x 1 @ 4ohms right? Im looking for an amp around $200 or less but idk what to get...

If they are dual voice coil then you can wire each sub to 2 ohms, and then across those two to get a final impedance of 1 ohm. It'll be a lot easier/cheaper to find an amp to do the power at 1ohm opposed to 4ohms. I get something that can do around 800rms at 1 ohm so you can cut back the volume some to prevent clipping. stay away from brands like Sony, pioneer, Kenwood, or other low end brands like that. Kicker, Rockford fosgate, audioque, mbquart, hifonics, and mmats are all good brands that are reasonably priced.

I do all my stereo business with www.crutchfield.com They have online advisors, and they have very good customer support. You might want to check them out.

How? That's basically a third of the power those subs want.

If you are trying to power two separate speaker/woofers you will need a channel for each speaker/woofer. I would go with like a 2x360 or more if it was me. You will also want to make sure you have plenty of power going into the speaker/woofer. If you under power them, it will cause the speaker to "clip" which will blow you speaker out. Too much power is better than not enough, I would be comfortable pushing like 400 watts or so through them. Check out this link http://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P100....html?tp=35782. You can also bridge an amp to allow the amp to push more power to each speaker.

For subs you don't need two separate channels^. It's not like door speakers where there's a left and right, there's just a single channel for subs. That's why most amps for subs are mono blocks meant to do the most power on one channel no matter how many subs are on it. Amount of subs doesn't matter, final ohm load does.
