Wiring gurus?
I have the Pioneer TS-SW3001S4 it is a 1500 max, 400 RMS, single coil, 2 OHM subwoofer.. I have two of them.. I HAVE/burned up.. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-W4dabHB...KAC-9104D.html this which is •500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (900 watts x 1 at 2 ohms.. I believe I have it run parallel, or bridged? I ran the power to one sub, then ran a piece from that sub to the other subwoofer? My first question is.. How does that work distributing the power? Also, was I correct in wiring that way and giving it around 450 per subwoofer? Also, is there a better amplifier I can purchase now to make it run better and more efficiently?
I wired it up like this..

If you wired it like your picture, then you did it correctly.
With your amp wired @ 2ohms each sub should be getting 450 watts.
When you attach wire between two subs like in the picture, the power will flow all the way through the connection. The amp doesn't know how many subs are hooked up too it. It only knows what independence (1ohms, 2ohms, 4ohms) the connection is, and that is how it determines how much power to put out.
As for getting a better amp, what is your budget?

I had the 3rd brake light leak issue... Amp got wet, turned it on cause I didn't know.. psssffttttt... Smell
Wait if you wired them like your picture then you put a 1ohm load to your amp, since you said you have two single 2 ohm subs. Wiring in parallel cuts the ohm load in half, and those kenwood amps definitely aren't stable at 1ohm. That definitely didn't help the life of that amp, and you'd be lucky to see 600rms max outta that amp at 2ohms not 900 like it says.

Any idea on an amp that WOULD give me 400ish to each running parallel?I may of put the wrong.. They are single 2 ohm

150-200? I don't want the best of the best, gotta pay for school and stuff.. But I now have a 120 dollar box and 240 in subwoofers sitting there useless.
I'm not sure if this amp will do rated RMS power, but it will work and is in your price range.

Wow, it says 1000x1 @ 1 ohm.. So theoretically would give 500 to each... But most brands don't REALLY do RMS.. So if it says 500. Will really push 350-400 about what I want? Basically.. I wasn't giving the subs RMS before either.
Can I still run it in a parallel like I had it before? I'm hoping to unscrew, and screw the wires into this amp and take all of 5 minutes.
I want to say 30A and power wire is 4ga I believe.. Been 5 years since I ran that power wire.
.. One LAST question, sorry to bug you.
How the hell would I hook up my remote wire to THAT remote input? My remote is literally a wire that has the same basically clamp as the power/ground, etc..
