remote wire

i have a 09 supercrew, sony, nav radio.

using the factory sub harness to pick up signal for JL amp. researched and found the wiring diagram. have ground and constant power, but no remote/switched power. the fuse box only shows "subwoofer" and that fuse is fine.

is the radio screwed and not giving out the remote power?

where is the closest spot to pick up switched power? having a total brain fart.

its a JL 250/1 with remote sensing..... but naturally its not working!!!

Anything that is on when the radio is on will work, I'm pretty sure you can tap off a fuse under the dash for it.

The only problem with tapping off the power antenna wire is the amplifier will only turn on when the radio is playing. All other sources such as Ipod, USB, 3.5mm aux, CD, etc, will not play. Tapping off any 12v switched source is play as long as it's switched with the ignition or the radio. For me, personally, I'd run a wire straight from the head unit harness where there's either the remote wire or the ignition wire hooked to a relay.
