So I have made a couple adjustments with gain and what not. Have not had any problems since and the amp is still on the carpet (on the floor under the seat) Thanks for the help.

hello...interesting thing happened to me the other day. my amp cut out like it usually does...but it stayed cut out...so i turned off the sub from my cd player and drove home. checked both fuses on the amp and the amp kit fuse, all were fine. checked the power and ground and they were still shiny and tight. looked at my amp and the poer light was off...so i just figured i would mess with it later. well i get back in a few hours later to go to work(dark outside) and i look over and the blue light is on...so i turn on the sub from the cd player and its working. still cuts out like it did tho..so im still gonna recheck my remote and power and everything with a volt meter. i did the same thing in my truck as i did in my last truck. i drilled a hole in the floor behind the seat and put a scfrew in it with the ground under it. tested it with a volt meter when i installed it and it was fine. i am to the point of pretty much ripping the whole thing out and re-installing it. im still thinking rcas went bad or remote is attached funky behind the cd player
