Question **Best amp for 12" Solo Baric L7?**

Well, i have 2 12" Solo Baric L7's that I am going to put in my 03 Super Crew

I'm wondering about the best amp?

The run 1500/750 max/rms each. I did have a Power Acoustik Class D momoblock 3000W in my last setup pushing both of them.

I'm now thinking a 1000W Monoblock Class D for each. Any comments on this setup? More power, maybe a 1200 for each? What kind of amp?

Thanks for the input!

I'd get an amp that could do 1500rms and run them both off that, with the correct ohm load of course.

Since they are DVC 4Ohm subs I would just get a good amp that can do 1ohm and run them both on there.

Something like the Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D which does 1700RMS @ 1ohm would be enough for those subs and isn't too expensive.

Yea if you can afford it shoot for something that can do like 200 or so more rms than what you need so you can turn the amp back some to prevent clipping.

The old Kicker ZR1000 is as loud as any other amp I've put on subs. hits much harder than the brutus in my opinion. 1 ohm stable and THD is still way low. Just my two cents

I ran a single L7 12" with a Kicker ZX750.1 and it hit really hard...So if you can get a good quality 1500watt amp you'd be set. Actually come to think of it the 750.1 blew two L7's so just be careful with your gain.

Not to be bias, but the Hifonics amps are WAYYY overrated. I don't even think they are CEA compliant. Tested a BRZ1700 with a DMM at the shop and it was lucky to hit 1200 RMS with 14.4 V+.

If you want power with some SQ get a Rockford Power Series, such as the T1500. Mine birthed at 1932 by 1 at 1. 1734 at 2. They are pricey but true power and has a 24db/octave.
