does the amp have speaker level inputs? if so, just tap into one of the rear speakers so you dont have to run rca cables. the remote wire is just a signal to the amp to turn on so i would think any 12 volt source that is tied into the ignition would work but maybe someone else can help you with that.

check this thread out and do some more searching first though. there's a lot of people that do this. google it

@08silverfx4 lol I've google'd Aton but I'll keep going.
@mcr1994 I'm doing it for a sub, and if the sony sub is obvious to see then I don't believe I have it. Because I don't ever remember seeing it lol sad right.

I used this from Best Buy to give me RCA outputs from my stock stereo. You will be cutting and splicing into your factory harness though. And like 08silver fx4 said, for the remote wire, you just have to find an ignition source. I did this with my current truck and my friends 09 stx. Just giving you ideas.

I used the MTX ReQ to tap into my factory HU. I wanted to keep my Sync. I am very pleased with the results.

Use a add a fuse mini and tap into spot number 41 in the kick panel of the passanger side. YOu will have to trim the fuse box cover a little but it will give you the 12+ for your remote wire. IT will also keep the amp on until you open the door like the stock radio does now. As far as your RCA's get a line out converter (a good one will be about $50) and a Metra BT-5520 harness. You will have to cut some wires on the metra harness but that way you are not cutting into your factory harness. CHeck out this link for some help:
