Look at the Crutchfield.com website. They have lots of info on how to wire amps, speakers etc and if you buy from them they also have excellent customer service and tech support. It's really not that hard to wire one in.

I have had very good luck with Kenwood amps over the years, never had one fail or burn out. Regardless of the brand just look for something that puts out 400-500 watts RMS to match your sub.

Are you just going to be adding this to a stock system?

400W RMS output @ 4 ohms
600W RMS output @ 2 ohms

this should be good for it right?

Infinity makes good stuff and the specs you stated for that amp is right for the power range of the sub. The only problem is that set up is going to overpower the stock system most likely.

You can turn the gain down and that will help. Probably will want to replace the door speakers and add an amp for them in the very near future!

U need to figure out what impedance Ur speaker will have when wired up. Is it dual voice coil? If so are they dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm. If dual 2 u can get by with a 4 ohm load stable amp. Wire the 2s in series and it makes a 4 ohm load. If they are 4 ohm, u can wire them down to 2 ohm in which case u would need a 2 ohm stable amp. The amp will overheat if it isn't capable of running as low of an ohm load as Ur speaker is putting off. If it is single voice coil and 4 ohm then 4 ohm stable when bridged is great. Pm me if u have more questions. Best site I have found is onlinecarstereo.com. bought multiple things from them in previous rigs.
